A Return on Nature is a joint report by KPMG and the National Farmers Federation, advocating for the establishment of market-based mechanisms to compensate Australian farmers for ecosystem services, thereby aligning economic incentives with environmental stewardship. It proposes creating an ecosystem services market to recognise, measure, and financially reward farmers for sustainable land management, fostering both environmental resilience and economic opportunities in agriculture.
