The Australian Agricultural Sustainability Framework sets out a consistent understanding of the sustainability objectives of the Australian agricultural industry through themes, principles and criteria designed under an environmental, social and governance (ESG) structure. The Framework has built strong stakeholder support throughout its last five years of development. Now, the AASF has reached a critical point and needs to evolve from being separate, but aligned, programs of work – fully funded by the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry – to being under a single operational entity capable of maintaining the framework and providing sustainability related services to the industry.
To this end, a five-year strategic plan, operating and governance model are being designed to enable implementation of this future entity. NFF has tasked KPMG and Schuster Consulting Group to assist NFF to undertake this process. To support this, an Advisory Committee is being established to support the development of the future operating model and strategic plan. Impartial (i.e. unbiased), expert stakeholders are being sought for the Committee. The Terms of Reference are available here and Expressions of Interest can be made here.
Expressions of interest are being sought by 27th September 2024. Questions can be directed to KPMG: emurdoch@kpmg.com.au and SCG: angelas@schusterconsulting.com.au
