Global Forum on Farm Policy and Innovation

A values-based approach hitting the mark.

The Australian Farm Institute has joined with other leading independent agricultural organisations to form a collaborative initiative known as the Global Forum on Farm Policy and Innovation (GFFPI). These organisations are: Farm Foundation (US), Australian Farm Institute, Canadian Agri-Food Policy Institute, and Forum for the Future of Agriculture (EU). The AASF is supporting a small number of GFFPI events.

Demonstration of sustainability is an increasingly important aspect to trade negotiations. European markets in particular have been promoting high expectations of sustainability and have generally been conveying these expectations through the lens of prescribed practices. The AASF project team identified an opportunity to promote the Australian sustainability approach at two significant international events in October 2023.

The Australian Agricultural Sustainability Framework is funded by the Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries & Forestry through the National Agriculture Traceability Grants Program. Project delivery is led by the National Farmers’ Federation. We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of country throughout Australia and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging. © The Australian Agricultural Sustainability Framework. Copyright of National Farmers Federation.
